Polaroid Automatic 210

Approximate year: 1967-1969 • In-store price: $10

Film: Polaroid 100-series pack film, discontinued

Status: DECOR ONLY. Untested; sold as a display piece

Instant photography, 1967 edition. Now available in its final form: a very handsome paperweight.

The Automatic 210 was made from 1967 to 1969, when Polaroid was basically the Apple of its day and peel-apart instant prints were pure magic. Unfold the bellows, take the shot, pull the print, peel it apart, and pretend you're a crime-scene photographer in a TV detective show.

Why it's DECOR ONLY: the pack film it needs is extinct, discontinued by Fujifilm in 2016, and this one is untested. It's sold as a display piece. My official recommendation: paperweight. It has the heft, and it'll keep your mail from blowing away with a lot more style than a rock.

Display-only condition
