THE ISLAND OF MISFIT CAMERAS
DECOR ITEM / ITEM #9324
Polaroid Land Camera 360
Approximate year: 1969-1971 • In-store price: $10
Film: Polaroid 100-series pack film, discontinued
Status: DECOR ONLY. Untested; sold as a display piece
Peak Woodstock-era technology, now promoted to full-time shelf ornament.
The Polaroid 360 was made from 1969 to 1971, while the rest of the country was busy landing on the moon and growing out its sideburns. It's a folding pack-film camera: pull the bellows out, snap, pull the print out, wait, peel. Instant photography, if your definition of instant includes a minute of standing around holding a damp piece of paper.
Why it's DECOR ONLY: the peel-apart pack film it needs is gone. Polaroid quit making it years ago and Fujifilm discontinued the last version in 2016. This one is untested, so it's sold as a display piece and a conversation starter, not a camera.
