A six-digit odometer. Volvo is thinking ahead, possibly farther ahead than your original ownership plans.

This original 1968 Volvo 144 advertisement makes a selling point of having room for a substantial mileage count. It’s a lovely piece for someone who considers keeping a car a long time a perfectly respectable achievement. A small, practical detail being given a full page is very much the charm of this ad.

THE DETAILS:

• Original period magazine page, sold unframed.
• Approximate size: 10 × 13 inches.
• Approximate date: 1968.

Condition: Good vintage condition with age-appropriate toning and light edge or surface wear. Please inspect the photo carefully; the exact item pictured is the item you will receive.

I carefully trim each page, place it in a protective sleeve with a sturdy backing board, and pack it with bubble wrap in a sturdy box. You’ll receive the original page shown in the photos, not a reproduction.

Framing: Vintage magazine sizes vary. Use the measurement-mat photo as a size reference, and choose a larger frame with a mat cut to fit this particular page.

I white-balance the photos to show the original colors as accurately as possible. Colors can still vary with your screen settings.
