Holiday beer advertising: because even the drinks were expected to dress up for the occasion.

This original 1980 Erlanger advertisement promotes the brand as a holiday classic. It’s a nice seasonal piece for a beer collection or a home bar that doesn’t need another flashing sign. You can leave it up after the holidays, too. Old advertising has the useful advantage of being permanently out of date rather than briefly overdue.

THE DETAILS:

• Original period magazine page, sold unframed.
• Approximate size: 10 × 13 inches.

I carefully trim each page, place it in a protective sleeve with a sturdy backing board, and pack it with bubble wrap in a sturdy box. You’ll receive the original page shown in the photos, not a reproduction.

Framing: Vintage magazine sizes vary. Use the measurement-mat photo as a size reference, and choose a larger frame with a mat cut to fit this particular page.

I white-balance the photos to show the original colors as accurately as possible. Colors can still vary with your screen settings.
