Eight years old, and already being introduced as DeLuxe. Bourbon has a very different career path from the rest of us.

This original 1960s Walker’s advertisement promotes its eight-year-old bourbon. It’s a handsome bit of whiskey marketing for a bar shelf, lounge, or collection of period packaging. The age statement belongs to the bourbon being advertised; the magazine page has since put in rather more time of its own.
