“More Doctors Smoke Camels.” An excellent reminder to read the advertisement before taking anyone’s advice.
This original 1950s Camel page belongs to one of tobacco advertising’s more eyebrow-raising campaigns. The interest is the sales tactic itself: put medical authority near the product and hope the reader does the rest. A fascinating piece for an advertising-history collection. The old claim stays firmly in quotation marks; this page is something to examine, not a recommendation to follow.
