A noiseless typewriter. The office’s first attempt to stop everyone knowing exactly how hard you were working.

This original 1930s Remington advertisement is addressed “For stenographers only!” and includes a comic strip and an office scene. Plenty to look at for a typewriter collector or anyone with a fondness for old office equipment. The paper version is especially quiet, even by the ambitious standards of the original sales pitch.
